At Punky's Farm, we are passionate about pollinators and the important role they play in our environment. Punky's Farm is named after our very peculiar cat who came to the farm years ago and stays busy with many misadventures, but he also has a special relationship with the bees! It all started when our founders, Joe & Becky Phelps, became interested in beekeeping as a hobby. We quickly realized the incredible impact that bees, butterflies, birds and all pollinators have on our ecosystem and knew we wanted to share that with others by sowing our first 1/2 acre of wildflowers in 2023. Seeing the impact on our pollinator friends and the joy it brings passers by, we increased to 2.6 acres in 2024 as well as a Lavender field and continue to plan more acreage each year by adding different types of wildflower plots focusing on every pollinator need. And now we came full circle with our farm store, offering local honeys as well as from around the country and international! Come and peruse the shelves for our local honey, Honey sourced around the USA, honeys from around the world, honey-based treats, jams, spreads, marmalades, candies and charcuterie items, local handmade all natural soaps, beeswax candles and grilling products!
Our mission at Punky's Farm is to promote sustainable beekeeping practices and educate the public about the importance of bees and all pollinators. We believe that by working together, we can help protect these vital pollinators and ensure the health of our planet for generations to come. Our yearly goal is to restore more unused ground back to sustainable pollinator practices by planting wildflowers and native perennials on our family farm and beyond. This practice is not only beautiful but necessary in saving our native pollinating species which helps in farming and gardening.
